WhatsApp Launches Public Beta For Its Desktop App

WhatsApp is offering access to a new beta version of its desktop app to let you experiment with new features.

Weeks after launching multi-device access on its beta app, WhatsApp is now releasing a new public beta program for WhatsApp Web.

The program is aimed at improving support for the multi-device feature, and receiving feedback from participating beta testers who will be able to test new features simply by installing the beta on their Windows or macOS desktops.

Users willing to install WhatsApp for Desktop beta will receive all beta updates automatically and gain access to start testing the new features.

One of these features includes a new experience while recording and listening to voice messages. In the beta, users can listen to voice messages before sending them. The feature is already under development on WhatsApp for Android and iOS.

Beta testers who experience any issue when using WhatsApp for Desktop on the beta channel can report them by sending feedback to WhatsApp from the app itself.

The “Contact Us” button within Settings, lets users describe issues and even attach screenshots that can help developers better understand the report.
